Hello, we are Amy and Pedro,

Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We know that you are facing an important decision, and we think you are very strong for taking adoption into consideration for your child. Our goal is to create a strong family and a home full of love and laughter.

Pedro and I have known each other since the third grade! We both attended the same elementary, middle, and high schools growing up. Although we were very close friends in high school, we drifted apart as we started our adult lives. Amy moved away for college and her career, and lived in Iowa, Baltimore, Boston, and Illinois. Pedro stayed in New Mexico for school, started a family (welcoming two sons) and established his career. When both of our previous marriages ended, we reconnected and realized that our friendship was something special and we had a romantic connection. We have a loving relationship and strong marriage. After facing infertility for several years, we’ve turned to adoption as the path to grow our family.

Amy is a librarian at UNM, and also has experience as a musician playing the flute and piano. Although she feels very lucky to be a stepmom to Pedro’s sons, she’s always wanted to be a mother. She enjoys playing with her stepsons and Little Sister (through Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization – where she volunteers), and also enjoys hiking, fishing, and days spent outside.

Pedro is a software developer and enjoys creating electronic music and writing screenplays. He is also very active in martial arts classes such as Tae Kwon Do and Jiu-jitsu. He is a wonderful father to his sons. His dedication to fatherhood is one of the many reasons I fell in love with him. Pedro’s family is from Puerto Rico, and his parents maintain strong contacts to their family and friends in Puerto Rico. Although he is already a dad, he’s excited to add another child to the family.

Noah and Nathan are Pedro’s two very energetic boys. Nathan is 5 years old, and Noah is almost 8. The boys are with us one night a week and every other weekend, and are eager to have a new little brother or sister at our house. We think this will be an amazing opportunity for your child to have lots of individual attention from us, with the benefits of two older brothers to watch over him or her.

If you choose us to be the parents of your child, we will always hold a special place for you in our hearts and tell your child about your love for them. In our opinion, there can never be too many adults to love a child, and we experience this everyday through a positive relationship with Noah and Nathan’s mom and family.

We will provide a fun, supportive, and loving family for your child, with many people in their life to love them. We also want you to feel comfortable in the knowledge that your child is taken care of and loved unconditionally. We will always be completely honest with your child and will let them know their adoption story, as well as the love that motivated your decision. If you have more questions for us or would like to get to know us better, we would love to talk to you! Thank you for considering us as a family for your child.

With honesty and love,

Dear Birthmother,

Our names are Will and Kelly, and we have 3 wonderful children, Casey (10), Samuel (7) and Madeline (3). Our family has grown from the incredible blessings of two adoptions and from the birth of our biological child. We are so grateful for this opportunity to tell you about our family, our home and our hopes and dreams for our 4th child.

We realize what a difficult time this must be for you. We cannot begin to imagine the events that brought you to this point in your life, where you must make the decision to place your baby into an adoptive home. We believe everything happens for a reason, and that God has a plan for all of us. We will try as best as we can to give you a description of the events in our lives that brought us to seek you, and to write this letter.

In late fall of 1997, we met at a 5k road race. We both enjoyed running, camping, fishing and spending time with family, and quickly discovered we had a lot in common. Our friendship turned into love, and we married in 1999. We have remained best friends since. After several unsuccessful years of trying to conceive, we made the decision to pursue adoption. Our daughter, Casey, was born in February 2003 and she has filled our house with love and joy. She is intelligent, beautiful, athletic, creative and loves gymnastics and swimming. A few years later, we found out we were pregnant! Our son, Samuel, was born in October 2005. At 5 months of age, he was diagnosed with a rare and severe immune deficiency and spent the first 3 years of his life in and out of hospitals. He underwent a bone marrow transplant in December 2007, and because of medical miracles such as transplant, Samuel is able to lead a normal, healthy life. He is caring, humorous, energetic, fearless and strong. He loves to play with his friends and cousins, participates in gymnastics, and loves to swim, dive and play baseball. Samuel’s immune deficiency is genetic, and we were told by many doctors that it was possible to have another sick baby, so we again pursued adoption, and in July 2009, welcomed Madeline into our family. She is full of life, funny and always keeps us on our toes! She loves to swim, go to the park and enjoys playing with her cousins. Our children have taught us to appreciate every day we have together. Because our experiences have been so wonderful, we are again seeking adoption with the hope of growing our family.

Will (41) is a Physical Therapist and works at a small outpatient clinic. Kelly (41) is a Registered Nurse and works as a pediatric oncology nurse at a large hospital. Our jobs are flexible and allow one of us to always be at home with our children. We live in a safe, family-oriented neighborhood, with parks, grocery stores and excellent schools within walking distance. Our home has 4 bedrooms, with plenty of space outside where the kids can swing, play in the sandbox, relax in their fort, jump on the trampoline, climb the monkey bars, play basketball or ride bikes. We spend much of our time outside, allowing the kids to run, explore and use their imagination. We are raising our children in a loving and supportive Christian environment, and our family waits with great anticipation to welcome another child into our hearts and into our home.

We are blessed with a large, loving and supportive extended family. With the exception of Will’s younger brother, all of our family members live within 30 minutes of each other. Kelly’s brother and Will’s younger sister live within a mile, and Casey, Samuel and Madeline have many cousins to play with. We often get together for swimming, trips to the zoo and botanic gardens, our annual week-long camping trip, a big vacation each year, baseball games, Friday night family dinners, birthdays, holidays and other celebrations. Our family is our strength and our friends.

We hope our story gives you an idea of who we are as a family. We promise to honor you by telling our child about his birthmother; about how we came together at a time in our lives when we both needed each other, and how she gave us an incredible gift. The gift of hope. The gift of a family. The gift of life.

In Christ’s love,

Will and Kelly

Dear Birthparent(s),

Hi – we are Jacob & Meghan. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about us as you consider potential families for your child. We are very excited to start our family and hope that you might become part of our story.

Adoption has always been part of our plan for building a family. It holds a special place in our hearts, as Meghan was adopted as an infant, along with her 2 brothers. We realize this is a huge decision for you to make right now. But we have seen amazing families built through the courage of adoption and understand what a selfless act of love it is.

We met at church while in college and became good friends for 2 years before dating. We have now been married for over 4 years and are ready to bring a little boy or girl into the mix! We bought our first home last summer and have done a lot of work to get it ready for a family. It’s one story, 3 bedrooms, with a nice grassy back yard. We love our growing church, value family time and can’t wait to play outside with our kids. We also spend time attending Lobo basketball games, hosting guests for dinner, doing photography, growing yummy vegetables to eat, and taking road trips. We believe in creating a healthy environment for our family where children will flourish in every way – physically, emotionally, spiritually, and academically.

Jacob works as a Firefighter/Paramedic & Meghan works as a pediatric nurse. Between our schedules, we each have 4 days off/wk which we will arrange so that one of us will always be at home. On the rare occasion that childcare is needed, there are 4 grandparents, 3 aunts/uncles, and many close friends nearby who will be actively involved.

We have an amazing support network of friends, family, church-members, & coworkers who have helped us raise money and prepare for this child. They are constantly asking for updates and encouraging us. We know that this little boy/girl will be loved by so many wonderful people.

If you decide to work with us, we want you to know that you will be spoken of with the highest honor and regard in our home. We will be open regarding this adoption story and the incredible choice you made to provide the best life possible for your child. We know God’s timing is right and that He has a unique plan for our family. As we wait & hope, know that we are praying for you and your baby.

Love, Jacob & Meghan

Hello, we are Eric and Tina.

We cannot even begin to imagine the emotions you are facing ans you try to choose the perfect family for your child. You have already made a very brave and incredibly loving decision to give your child the gift of life. Now as you are bravely and selflessly choosing a family to raise and love your child, we want to thank you for considering us.

We have been married for over 14 years and have two wonderful children (ages 12 and 9). We live in New Mexico surrounded by a very loving and supportive extended family and many friends. Eric is employed by an insurance company and Tina is self employed. The huge benefit to our occupations is that we both work out of our home and have very flexible schedules, so there is no need for childcare and we can be extremely involved in the lives of our children.

We were both raised in loving, stable, well-rounded, Christian homes with parents who have remained married for 40+ years. This is the environment that any child who enters our home will experience. We enjoy spending time with our friends and extended families, and we like to stay busy. We try to take yearly vacations, attend sporting events, attend church each Sunday, and also like to just enjoy movie nights and quiet times at home as a family.

We have chosen to adopt because we know that our family is not complete, but due to infertility, we can no longer have children of our own. We feel very strongly that God has taken us down the adoption path to be a blessing to you and your child.

If you choose us to be your child’s parents, we promise that he/she will be incredibly loved and cherished. He/she will have two older siblings who are so excited to have a baby brother or sister, and who will be loving and protective. Your child will also have an extended family that is loving and engaged, and parents who will love your child unconditionally. We will raise him/her to be a loving, caring, respectful, hard-working individual and will give him/her every opportunity possible to find and develop his/her gifts and talents. We will also honor you within our home by sharing your child’s adoption story and reminding him/her that your decision was out of pure love.

Thank you for the time you are taking to find the perfect family for your child and thank you for considering us. If you choose us, we will consider ourselves honored and blessed to be your child’s parents.
